Sabina is the newest addition to our family. She is a 6 month old Great Pyrenees who now masters our barn. As you may (or may not) know, we are getting two Oberhasli milk goats. Sabina will be their guardian. She was trained by her sire to walk the property perimeter each day and she is naturally protective. We were praying that we would be able to find the right dog for us and she's it!
A few things I love about this dog:
She was free!
She adores Madigan. She is extremely careful with him and always greets him with a kiss. When he's in his pack 'n play at the barn, she lies as close as she can to him. Today I brought her home with me to spend the day at the house and she laid right outside his bedroom door while he was sleeping. It's fascinating to watch Madigan's keen interest in her as well; he smiles and reaches out for her every time she meanders in his direction. I think this dog and boy belong together.
She is playful, but very laid back. She's always got a smile on her face and greets us in the mornings with a fiercely wagging tail.
She loves the barn! She spends every night in the barn and has completely resolved our opossum problem (opossums pose a real threat to horses as they are carriers of a neurological disease called EPM)
Here are some photos of her:

Oh, what a beauty. I can see why you love her so!
So glad she is adjusting to the barn so well! She has grown so much these last couple weeks. Wow.
